Review: TheFaceShop Natural Sun Eco Sebum Control Moisture Sun SPF40PA+++

Sunday 14 June 2015
Annyeong~ my lovelies! Ah~ it's getting hotter and hotter these days and I just can't get enough of drinking water even at night. Which is why I want to share with you guys about a sunscreen that I've been loving these days.

Can you guess which one?

Product Description:
This sun cream, which functions as a makeup base, moisturizes the skin with chia seeds that retains up to ten times the amount of normal moisture and protects the skin from UV rays in addition to providing a matte finish look by controlling sebum with Korean native cotton seeds. With its gentle adherence to the skin, this sun cream makes the skin look smooth by hiding pores and balancing uneven skin texture.

How to use:
Apply an adequate amount on the face and neck at the final stage of skincare.

50ml.

Packaging:

Let's talk about the box! As you can see, it has a nice design with the sunflower on it and I don't know about you but most Korean sebum-focused products are turquoise in colour which I love very much.

The front box has basic information of the product while the back of the box has detailed information of the product but in Hangul.

On the side of the box, it's mentioned that the product contains purified extract of sunflower sprouts, Natural Moisturizing Factor, sebum control function, and no animal sourced ingredients.

The long ingredients list! I hope you can read them~ but most importantly, the Natural Sun Eco line of products contain no more Paraben.

Onto the tube that housed the product, it came in the same design as the box but only with basic info at the front and the back of the tube. I honestly really love the colour of the cap! Wish I can own something else in that colour! The product can be used within 12 months after opened.

At the top edge of the tube, there's the expiring date printed. Do check before buying! The opening of the tube is quite small so the product dispense can be controlled easily.

Verdict:

The product came in light but creamy texture. It's really easy to spread I tell you. The finish is matte but I do feel the product still moisturizes my skin which is something that I look for in my sunscreen.

Even though the product contains fragrance, I don't mind it, really. The scent is refreshing especially in this hot weather.

If you watch Get It Beauty, it's recommended that you applied your sunscreen regularly especially if you're doing outdoor activities, like every 2 to 3 hours. Previously, I don't really like applying sunscreen repeatedly throughout the day as I dislike the oily finish that most of my sunscreen gave me but with this sun cream, I just wiped my face with wet tissue (on those days I'm not wearing makeup, when I'm out doing site visits where I sweat like cray cray!) then dry with facial tissues and proceed with applying a new layer of this sun cream.

Hence, to those of you who don't really wear full makeup, you might love to put this just under your face powder as usually face powders have low SPF and need to be applied regularly.

If you're big on TheFaceShop line of products, you probably know that this product is an upgrade from the previous Natural Sun AQ line which contains parabens in most of the products in it. I reviewed one here so do check it out! Oh, there's the deluxe sample of it (the one in orange) in the first photo.

Final verdict: 5/5. From the packaging design to  its ingredients and finally to how it really works on my skin, I really love this sun screen and so far, I haven't found a replacement yet.

The product is retailed at RM72.90 at the store and online (go to this link!) but as you probably saw this product in my June Haul last year, I got this from Seoul, Korea with only RM48. Awesome!

As I really love it, I grabbed the Chia Seed & Natural Sun Eco trial kit at the store just to get the product in its 20ml size so I can just slipped it at the back of my jeans. I do love the other products in that kit as well and definitely will be reviewing it!

So I think that's all I want to share about this product so if you have recommendations on similar product, do let me know!

That's all for now so I see you on next post! Annyeong~
