Review: Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam

Tuesday, 31 December 2013

For today I'd like to review about a cleansing foam that I've been dying to try since about 3 months ago but I couldn't as I was using another cleansing line from TheFaceShop so only today, as I ran out all of them i.e. my cleansing cream, morning cleanser, even my evening cleanser, I think it's time to unwrap this one and give it a go. :D

My Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing line. These are all from my September Haul but I only used these a few times because I think it's better to use one cleansing line at a time, right?

The item that I'm going to review today is none other but this Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam

December Haul: Skinfood

Sunday, 29 December 2013

.... finally done with most of the revision! Phew!

Hello, my dear readers! Before today ends, I'd like to share with you guys one more post! Haha :D I know. I know. It's crazy. But I don't want to postponed this post again cause I still have a lot of other things I want to post about. hehehe

So let's just get on with it, shall we? :)

In the beginning of this journey of using Korean beauty skincare products, I discovered Skinfood products quite late I guess, compared to TheFaceShop and Etude House. Plus, if I were to compare, Skinfood beauty stores aren't as much as TheFaceShop and Etude House both in my hometown and around the place that I'm currently living in.

But those things didn't stop me from going out of my usual places and discovered other new stores and hence, when I first tried the product and actually finish it quicker than other items on my vanity table, I realized, maybe I should give a chance to myself to explore more from this brand. Oh, I was talking about Skinfood Rice Wash-Off Mask, by the way. if you haven't, read my review here.

Anyway, as per usual, I tried the samples given to me, ended up buying some miniature kits and finally fell in love with this one product that just suits my needs right now.

As I was looking for a serum or essence that can help me brighten up my skin tone, at the same time give me the anti-aging properties that I want, I found Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect First Serum. About 3 weeks after I used up the miniature kit that I got, I decided to get the full size product and I gotta say, this is the first time I got myself a product that I've tried the samples, did a thorough research on it, gather testimonies from my favourite beauty bloggers, and of course referring to experienced Beauty Advisers in Skinfood beauty stores itself.

Oh, yes! I am indeed excited while getting this for myself.

How I am happy when I found out that Skinfood was having promotion on this very product and I went ahead to get it the day after the promotion was announced in Skinfood Official Facebook page.

So here it is, everyone! :D

        • Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect First Serum + Cottons Review!
        • Skinfood Black Sugar Strawberry Wash-Off Mask Review!
        • Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect Mask Sheet x 3
        • Skinfood headband
So lucky to be among the early birds who get the limited number of free mask sheets. Yay!

Also, I got myself the Tomato Hand lotion, Gold Kiwi Mask Sheet and the BA in Suria KLCC concept store was kind enough to give these samples as I was looking for skincare line that offers brightening and anti-aging functions, i.e. Agave Cactus line.

So yeah, I'm pretty much pleased with this month's haul I guess. Plus, I get to stroke across lots of things on my New Year Wishlist. For that I am very much grateful.

That's a wrap for this month's haul. I hope you guys find these posts helpful as I found my favourite beauty bloggers haul posts to be very much helpful when it comes to decide whether to get certain products or not. hehe It is important to know more about the products you're getting and so you won't regret your purchases later.

Thank you so much for your nice comments on my previous posts and.... keep on casting your votes on the poll on your left and help me decide the items you want me to include in my first giveaway.

Do tell on what you think of my haul and which product you want me to review first, though I will be posting them some time around next month as I need to use them at least 3 to 4 weeks before reviewing especially when it come to skincare line.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and good night!

Love, Mira

P.S.: One (or two) more day(s) before New Year. Have you guys worked on your New Year Resolution?

December Haul: Etude House

Annyeong! :D haha this is the third post of the day. LOL I know. I know. Please bear with me.. Plus it's easier for me to refer to later on, on which product that I bought during what time of the year.

Anyhoo, in this post, let me share with you guys on stuffs that I got recently from Etude House!

Love these bags! They're so huge and I could use them to bring my architectural models in it! hehe finally done editing some these photos! phew!

Like I mentioned in my New Year Wishlist post, I wanted the Wonder Pore Christmas Set
and the other stuffs are from the Buy 1 Free 1 promos.
        • Wonder Pore Freshener Review!
        • Wonder Pore Whipping Foaming Review!
        • Wonder Pore White Clay Clear Mask
        • Wonder Pore Cotton Glove
        • Wonder Pore Brush
        • Wonder Pore Spatula
There's a reason why I still grabbed 2 other 500ml Wonder Pore Freshener
even though it's included in the Christmas Set... hehe Surprise! Surprise!

Another Christmas Set which consists of:
        • Hand Bouquet Rich Butter Hand & Foot Cream
        • Hand Bouquet Rich Butter Hand Mask
        • Hand Bouquet Rich Butter Foot Mask

Here are the freebies! :D Hair Brush which I love! Mirror that there's no way I'm gonna bring that to uni! 2014 calendar that's so cute! An Etude House Pink box cause I grabbed the Wonder Pore Christmas Set above. Though I spent a lot, I didn't get the Pink Umbrella because I got them separately. But it's okay cause there's no way I'm gonna use it even if I got it. hehe

I was curious about these toners as my younger cousins are raving about them so much
so I got the ones that suit to my skin needs.
        • Skin Mal:Geum (Smoother)
        • Skin Mal:Geum (Fresh)
        • Skin Mal:Geum (Essential)
        • Skin Mal:Geum Emulsion
        • Skin Mal:Geum Cotton pads
        • Skin Mal:Geum portable bottles
        • Skin Mal:Geum Spray bottle for mist

As I already tried the Happy Fresh Foam in Witch Hazel before, this time I got myself the White Clay version! Review!

I grabbed these for my cousin! She used the Happy Teatime Aloe before so I got her that along with Green Tea.

It's Real Mask Sheets!! I've been wanting to get these for a long time! Though it's kinda expensive~
        • It's Real Mask Sheet: Carrot (Brightening Care)
        • It's Real Mask Sheet: Broccoli (Antioxidant Care)
        • It's Real Mask Sheet: Pumpkin (Lifting Care)
        • It's Real Mask Sheet: Kelp (Moisturizing Care)
        • It's Real Mask Sheet: Chestnut Shell (Exfoliating Care)

Etude House is having Christmas Set Promotion and Buy 1 Free 1 so which is why I grabbed so much. I actually calculated everything, determining when I'm gonna use all of them and I'm good for the whole 2014 I guess. Some of these are for my cousins actually, like the cleansing foams and mask sheets and I'm going home soon which means I'm going to share these with my other family members as well. So it's okay to splurge a little bit. I don't mind sharing at all. :D

So yeah, that's all for now. I didn't get anything new from the brand, just stuffs launched in 2011 to 2012
I guess, and it's definitely because Etude House Malaysia has been only launching makeup products along this year, right? Like Any Cushion, Rose Collection, while in Korea the limited Minnie Collection, Etoinette 2013 Collection which is probably going to arrive in Malaysia early next year... and I pretty much don't have much interest cause you guys know that I'm more on skincare, right? But I think I'm going to grab the Milky You cleansing line soon because I tried it the other day and it's awesome! hehe we'll see. Still waiting for the Don't Worry lip balm and Hand Cream to arrive too, actually. Those are already arrived in Singapore. Sigh.

Anyway, that's all for now. Hope you enjoy this post! hehe To those who're feeling bad cause you guys can't enjoy these sales thing, it's okay. I pray that Etude House will arrive to your country soon. :D Even in Malaysia it's still new (about 3 to 4 years I think), we don't even have the Pink Membership yet. The BA said it's gonna launched in 2014 so let's hope it's gonna happen for real.

I still have one more post for December Haul so stay tuned as I'm still editing the photos.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :D

December Haul: TheFaceShop

Hello again, peeps! it's the second post of the day and finally I'm going to share with you guys about the items that I got recently.

First of all, the stuffs that I get for myself from my favourite brand, TheFaceShop! :D

I ran out of my TheFaceShop Rice Water Bright cleansing line and right now I'm using my Baking Powder cleansing line and while shopping, I decided to get these as I was really curious about them. Again, these are all for my excess sebum! Really hope that these are gonna work well with my skin.
        • Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam: Green Tea Review!
        • Phyto Powder in Cleansing Foam: Charcoal Review!
        • Phyto Powder in Cleansing Cream: Black Sugar Review!
        • Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam: Acerola (given away)
Next is for my nose care as my White Mud Nose Pack is almost finished. Gonna review it soon. :)

I saw SeoHyun was doing the ad for this. hehe yeah, yeah. I really love her as an idol, so.. hehe but I genuinely have interest towards this line so I went ahead and get these for myself.
        • Black Head Clay Nose Pack RM22.90
        • Black Head Charcoal Nose Strip RM2.90 x2
Last but not least, these puffs and shaver.

RM6.90 to RM11.90

Okay, that's all for now. Surprisingly, I didn't get much from this brand cause I pretty much stocked up from previous hauls, including the 20 mask sheets. hehe Definitely gonna do another #masksheetmarathon.

I'll see you guys in second part of this post. :)

Until then, take care.

Review: Etude House I Need You, Yogurt! Wash-Off Masks: Apple

Hello, beautiful people! It's Sunday here in Malaysia and I woke up way earlier than usual cause of the wind keep hitting my door and it's more annoying than my alarm.

Anyway, as I already fully woke up, why not post a quickie, right? Plus, I just tried this like few minutes ago, so it's better to post now cause I'm too lazy to jot down what I think of this one and post later. hehe

As in the previous post, I tried the Apricot Pack so this time it's the Apple Pack! For details, descriptions on this wash-off mask, please go to my previous post here

"An Apple a day keeps the doctors away". That's what I learned since pre-school and I gotta say, apple is my favourite imported fruit. I love everything apple; from juice, to smoothies, to pies and most of all, apple rabbits. hehe
Click on image to learn how to cut the apple like this! :D
Apple extracts are known as ingredient in skincare that soften and brighten up our skin. Oh, do check out my review on TheFaceShop Real Nature Apple Flesh Pack to know more about other apple-based product that I have.

Coming back to this product, here it is!

Sagwa is Korean for Apple. Also means apologize. haha :D Suddenly recalled back some scenes in K-drama where apple is used to apologize to someone. Especially guys. LOL

Review: Etude House I Need You, Yogurt! Wash-Off Masks: Apricot

Saturday, 28 December 2013

Hello, lovelies! How's your weekend so far? For me, I'm still in my revision week so I guess you guys get the picture.

As I have been studying all day, I wanna get my mind off from exams just for a bit so here I am, releasing some steam off with trying this cute pack hence I'm gonna write a quick review. By the way, this is a continuation from my previous post here, so for today I'm going to review the Apricot Pack.

I honestly never ate an apricot before (or maybe I did but didn't know it's an apricot? LOL) so I didn't really know about it. So...

Of Final Exams and December Haul

Hello, lovely people! Finally the weekend is here! There are few more days before the final exams gonna start but most of my friends including moi is in the holiday mood instead. LOL Just kidding!
But of course, for me it's only 10 days left before flying home.
Home as in my hometown in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
*the seafood is calling!!*

I even prepared a list of things I wanna do right after I get home.
I'll be spending 4 days in Kuching, Sarawak for few days after I get home as Mom and is going to attend a Tupperware event yay! More new stuffs coming to my kitchen!!! of course beauty samples from BeautiControl (Tupperware skincare subsidiary company) and not forgetting the hotels we're gonna stay in! :D
In summary, I'm excited for that. Perfect getaway cause I definitely don't wanna go right into my dad's office being the temp worker, organizer, meeting boring clients, helping around with stuffs.

Wait, I thought I was gonna talk about my finals? LOL
let me to just let you into my real life, okay? Just a lil' bit. I promise you it won't be that boring.

Basically, it's common for us in architecture department, who are mostly doing 6 to 7 year program, to have less than 4 final exams and that's because we have design studio which make up to a third of total credit hours sigh and architectural drawing lessons and instead of written exams, we need to submit design proposals, presentation boards, sketches, models, and sometimes artist impression where we get to do a little bit more to art rather than architecture itself. Talk about artworks and whatnot.
For this semester, I only have 2 written exams. Which is awesome. I went for optional short semesters to be done with subjects like second languages and other religion-based studies.

Ugh, now I feel bored talking about this stuff! haha :D

Thing is, the reason I write this whole a lot of words in this post is because when I applied for Google AdSense, they said my blog is just full of photos and images and doesn't have enough contents. Sigh

Hence, this post.

Oh, December Haul. :D now I have some interesting stuffs to talk about.

Like I mentioned above, I'm going home so it goes without saying that my girls i.e. younger cousins will be waiting for me at home, all excited to get their New Year Gifts, plus schools gonna start pretty much next week so I guess it's no harm buying some skincare stuffs for them to bring along to their dorms, right?

So only this week, after my final presentation week ended I went out and buy some stuffs for them and of course for myself and mum. I basically ran out most of skincare products, as it's been 3 months since I used my TheFaceShop Flebote White Crystal line (review soon!) and my Toner, Essence, and night Cream are gone so I was looking for a new line to step in.

A little teaser.

I bought stuffs from TheFaceShop, Skin Food and 2 bags from Etude House. I guess you know why. My girls love Etude House. Me too, actually. Oh, well. you guys know that already.

Though I can't promise not to shop right after the exam on 31st, so...

Haul post will be up soon. I'm going to post this month's haul in parts because I can't just spend 4 hours straight on computers as I need to do some revision so let's do things slow a bit, yeah?

Love you guys.

xx, Mira

Funny thing is, mom called yesterday and thanked me for the Aloe mask sheets that I left at home and told me she was using it after she returned from fishing with my uncles. So... I guess you guys get the picture, right?

To continue the #masksheetmarathon challenge, I wanna make a twist over here and sum it up with this nice wash-off masks from the same I Need You! line. I know. I know. It's not a mask sheet but it's from the same line so I guess it's okay. LOL

As I have reviewed the Honey Wash-Off Masks before and as you guys might already know, this is the Yogurt version.
