Review | TheFaceShop Firming MasCream Sheet

Sunday, 3 July 2016

I started integrating one or two anti-ageing products into my skincare routine starting last year I think and I've also in the middle of trying beauty samples for anti-ageing skincare lines.

So far, I have firming sleeping mask and anti-ageing eye cream but for most of the time, I love using anti-ageing sheet masks as it's simple. As I can buy them separately, I reduce the risk of buying a miss product as you know how certain product can be too intense for your skin which is the case for most anti-ageing products.

You probably notice this but when I like one item from certain skincare line (especially sheet mask), I tend to buy the whole line or all its variants. This is the case with MasCream Sheet from TheFaceShop. I love the Nourishing variant hence I went back to the store and got myself the Brightening, Moisturising and this Firming variant.

Product Description:
First mask sheet with cream that feels like applying a whole jar of cream. The dense microfiber rich in cream adheres closely to the skin, providing soothing comfort.
Contains an anti-aging cream. It is formulated with marine collagen and black truffle to leave skin looking supple and improve elasticity.

How to Use:
Unfold the mask and carefully place masks on your freshly cleansed face. Avoid the eye and mouth contours. Remove after 10-20 minutes and tap gently on skin until the cream is completely absorbed.

Do you notice how purple is used in anti-ageing skincare lines? Like Innisfree Orchid skincare line, Lancome Reenergie Multi line, etc.? I do like this kind of thing in beauty products as I love continuity in everything.

Like its sister sheet masks, the cream too is in that thick white colour. The texture, scent and consistency is the same and I don't really notice any difference. Still loving that microfibre sheet.

Verdict:

Of course, it goes without saying that who can tell whether this thing actually worked or not as it's for firming but what I can tell you is like other variants I've reviewed before, this too is indeed hydrating my skin after use but this one is a little bit sticky so  if you have oily skin, I won't be recommending this for use in the morning.

Final verdict: 4/5. I do think Mediheal E.G.T Time Tox Ampoule Mask is better than this sheet mask. Though it's kinda expensive compared to my usual sheet mask treat, it's RM9.90  in the store so it's always great to grab this whenever they are having sale.

Let me know if you have recommendation on anti-ageing sheet masks for me to try by leaving comments down below.
