Review | TheFaceShop Black Label Lipstick in No. 13

Saturday, 13 August 2016

It's been raining for almost everyday for the past week~ I'm loving it! With hot green tea latte, on bed all day with just one good book, I'm all for it! of course, we all have to work despite it's raining cats and dogs out there. haha

Anyway, finally~ I'm back with a review! It's been more that 6 months, I know! Caught up with zillion things ever since I started working and only the past few weeks I sought the strength to sort my vanity (truth be told, I'm not done yet!) and after literally hoarding containers from Daiso, I managed to sort 80% of my beauty stash. Phew!

Anyway, I got this lipstick about a month ago and as I got some free time this morning,  I managed to take some photos though they're not well-lit as I only got sunshine for a good hour before it started to rain again.

Product Description:
Non-drying and highly pigmented lip colour with natural finish.

Packaging:

The sleek finishing of the case totally reminds me of Maybelline Water Shine lipsticks but I can tell that the outer finishes of the case don't peel easily which is good as I tend to put my lip products in my makeup bag and everything just roll together which is cray cray but I got not time to worry about that with this one.

The brownish black colour is indeed pretty (one of my fave colour!) and it kinda matches my Phytogenic Inifinite_Ex makeup items also from the brand.

If you look closely, there's the brand name being imprinted on the top of the cap.

Mine is in No. 13, a Pinkish Brown colour. Well, if you've been following me for awhile, you know that I'm a huge fan of natural or nude lip products which is actually quite uncommon among Korean makeup products in the market.

It's a typical bullet lipstick and that's all of the 3g of product. Though it looks like it's a brown colour, when swiped on my lips, you can see the pinkish colour.

Just love how it naturally goes with my Aritaum Sugarball Cushion Blusher. Truly perfect for simple natural look that's actually my go-to look in the office right now. One swipe is enough to cover my dark lips and I do love the pigmentation on this. The shade is definitely true to colour.

Above is a swatch on my arm. It's a really pretty pinkish brown colour. I wiped clean to see if there's anything left but as you can see above there's a slight colour still left and same goes with my lips though it's not as subtle as I hoped it would be.

The lipstick just glides smoothly on my lips and indeed it's quite moisturising. You might want to control the amount of product you deposit on your lips as the excess product may dried at the corner of your lips.

All in all, I do love the formulation. One application lasts me from morning until lunch time and I just have to reapply then.

This is sold at USD6.16 on Q-Depot.com but right now they're offering 15% on the product so only USD5.23 (~RM21). Get free worldwide shipping for purchase USD49. This product arrived to my doorstep all the way from Korea within less than 3 weeks (Korea Post).
